National Youth Gathering in New Orleans
The next National Youth Gathering will be in New Orleans, Louisiana, July 22-26, 2009. The theme is “Jesus, Justice and Jazz” and will include many opportunities to experience the culture of the Crescent City as well as give back to the community that is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina almost three years ago. Everyone attending the gathering will be involved in service outreach to the city in one of the following areas: Housing, Literacy,Environ- ment, Arts & Culture, Health & Wellness or Wealth & Poverty. Even though the gathering is a year away, it is time to start planning NOW for the event.
