The worship life of Clinton Heights is rooted in the traditions of the Lutheran Church where a premium is placed upon Word and Sacrament. Both our 8:30 and 11:00 Sunday worship times claim these liturgical roots, and yet both are slightly different. The worship form at our early service is from the Lutheran Book of Worship settings, and includes Holy Communion at all services except on fifth Sundays of the month. At the 11:00 service, a more casual form of the liturgy is experienced, from the hymnal supplement, "With One Voice". We share a children's sermon in addition to the regular sermon, and we tend to have a more contemporary feel. Communion is celebrated at the late service on all Sundays except for the fifth Sundays of the month. There is communion at both services on Festival Sundays.
In addition, we have occasional worship opportunities on Wednesdays in Advent and Lent, often in conjunction with simple meals.

Worship Service Greeters
Greeters play a useful role in our morning worship, especially for our visitors who might have questions. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, beginning with the September schedule, complete the form below and place it in the offering plate or the designated box in the narthex. ALTAR GUILD SEEKS NEW MEMBERS
The Altar Guild is responsible for the preparation of communion for our worship services. For me, preparing the communion meal is both a selfish act and a way to serve our church. From a selfish point of view, I have time alone to reflect on the meaning of communion and to do that at a time that the sanctuary is peaceful and quiet. From a larger perspective, it is a ministry to the congregation in readying a meal that symbolizes Christ’s sacrifice and continuous love for us.
Current Altar Guild members are responsible for one Sunday a month. New members would share a Sunday with an existing member in a way that fits the schedule of both. The time frame for preparation is flexible. Other responsibilities include set-up of communion between services and putting the communion elements away after the late service.
